most of moto phone cannot be unlock thru code like nokia. you need a data cable and unlocking software to unlock this phone. if you have nokia that what to unlock? post it to www.kisland.com and i'll always there to give unlocking code for nokia.

is this phone have at&t or t moble or anyother service logo on it?

It is not worth the hassle and cost of doing it yourself for only 1 phone, as you will waste a lot of time and it'll cost you more that if you just paid to get it unlocked.

Where are you? If you are in Vancouver I can recommend a couple people/places to get it done cheap (not me by the way). If you are elsewhere I am sure others can help you out.

The software that I will rovide you will unlock as man v220's, and it can be done with 5 minutes I have done it myself.

Yes, but how much does it cost? It would cost him $20 to get his phone unlocked.

Of course if he would like to unlock multiple phones he would be best off buying your software.

btw., there's a nifty thread in Welcome to MotoModders.net which details how to unlock various models of Motorolas yourself with only a usb cable & software FREELY provided on the forum itself.

NOT SURE if the v220 is among the models compatible..but worth a check...Chillin's right, unless you're very computer friendly it MAY take a long time to do it (if you follow proper instructions to the T, as every modder should do always)...but then again, isn't modding a personal experience, and worthless without that elbow grease sense of accomplishment?

I unlocked 2 V300's this way myself.
