    Re: Rogers Retention Plans

I phoned Rogers yesterday and threatened to cancel unless they matched what their competitor was offering and here is what they offered me for $52.00 tax included.

    200mins daytime + 100 bonus
    Nights and weekends from 6pm
    Incoming Free
    250 text messages
    1 GB data
    Call ID
    VM

    Is this a good deal?

    Re: Rogers Retention Plans

    Hello Everyone,

I Called yesterday, I did n't have to lie and get demanding all I did was be honest and told the rep that I have been a long time Rogers customer and I wanted a better plan since the competitor had better. So I guess that's the keyword " Competive prices' and he transfered me, and the rep on retention was very nice, polite and very professional and "tailored "a cheaper plan for both cell phones.

my plan will cost me now $55.00
unlimites incoming calls, free calls within the rogers network, fido
200 minutes, 1 GB data package, unlimited texting, voicemal and all the add ons

    my wife $65.00
unlimited voice incoming outgoing since they noticed that the 700 min she had before was n't enough
data package 500 MB everythin gelse same as above

    Re: Rogers Retention Plans

I recently had it out with the rogers customer retention guys again and he helped me out alot. I previous had a retention plan that had a lot of day minutes but when I got the Iphone 4 I added data. So my bills were in the $70's again.

The problem with retention plans is that if they get audited by the finance department they can cancel your credits. So here is my new plan

    For $17
    Free 6pm and evening/wkend
    Free incoming
Free Rogers 2 rogers and Fido
    My 5
    300 Day minutes
    100 LD

    For $10
    Voice Mail
    Call Display
    Call Waiting
    2500 Text

    6GB Data for $30
    Plus $10 off data

The funny thing is, is that my previous credits from my old plan somehow made it onto my new plan so

    one is for -$5
    and the other for -$15

before taxes my plan comes to $37 with data!!

    Re: Rogers Retention Plans

is there a catch to all these retention plans you guys are getting? Any contracts involved?

I was offered $35 unlimited local calling, $20 dollar for 1 gig data, $10 dollar value pack with a 3 year contract. I said I'll decide and call back.

Like any other plan changes; they renew your data contract or your voice contract.

I did my research, read this forum and a few others. I am only 17 so i called got my dad to make me an authorized member, so that i could ripp them apart, nicely!

I called SUPER nicely, told them i would like to cancel my phone. no all four for the entire family. I dont care about the cancellation fee i'm interested in cancelling

asked what other network plan were you interested in. (i went into a store and picked up a telus brochure) always threaten ROGERS with telus. Then i told them the student plan.

and they said they would match it.

i called and this was the deal i got

    350 weekday minutes
    unlim even 6 and weekends
    unlim network calling
    unlimited incoming
    2500 out texts
    unlimited incoming texts
    call display
    voicemail
    1000 long distance minutes
    500 mb DATA plan

    for........

    54.93
    i couldnt believe it.

Now we are all going in to get iphonse and blackberries and our bill will be LESS

    @ around 248 dollars a month!

honestly you just have to tell them. you have been a valued customer and you are not happy with the prices of your bill etc.

IT WAS awesome i'm so happy
