Switched Slvr L7 to T-mobile but picture message wont work now

so I am using a Slvr L7 phone that was originaly set up for a Rogers plan, but since has been unlocked, and everything works on it except for picture messages. i can get to the point where is it MMS Server: Rogers and there is option that says edit/add but when i click there it doesnt let me actualy add another server or edit the Rogers Server..... can anyone help me?

You may have to update the software on your phone. Dont ask me how I have no idea but I do believe rogers locks the ability to change MMS servers on some of their handsets.

I am not sure how far rogers reaches with it's service, I assume you are in Canada, if so, I was not aware that t-mobile was even a Canadian service provider. I do believe rogers brands their phones, which means they develop the software particularly for their service. You will have to obtain a firmware update for your phone compatible with t-mobile. I have a similar problem with my phone that was an Aliant (bell) phone and flashed it with Sprint firmware, everything but internet related services work.

You may be able to switch MMS servers if you can obtain your MSL code if it's a CDMA phone. Not sure about GSM. You may also be able to seem edit which is more dangerous. You can find a software package calld P2K commander and see if it recognizes your phone. These are for Rzr's but may support the Krzr.

where do i got to get the firmware update?
do i go to a t-mobile store (im in oregon) or do i find it online leaked somewhere?

well, if your carrier has the same phone, then yes, you can try to go to the store and tell them where the closes service center is, or if they do in-store servicing. Tell them you need your phone reflashed. After that, you will have to get it re-provisioned. you could also try to find it online, but usually they are hard to find.
