I have been a pay and go customer with Telus for 10 years but recently switched to a rogers contract. The price of the contract payment was the same as my pay n go average with 5 free contacts and free after 6 and free weekends and a new Nokia 6085. On the telus p&g I always had LG phones. My reception was top notch and the phones where awesome.
Now I have the Nokia and Rogers for a 3 year stint .
No voice dialing, and the worst and most erratic signal strength I have ever seen, Not to mention the tech support that thinks I'm an R Tard.
" Sir your poor reception is due to, What kind of house do you live in? Oh yah thats it its made of wood and hampers the signal", I really hope I don't look as stupid as I apparently sound. If I behave myself and pay my bill on time I only hope that after the contract is up I can at least use them as a credit reference.

After a long justification of any stupid move on my part in the hopes to avoid a bunch of, " how stupid are you?" and "Didn't you read the contract?" comments,
My question is, Of all the late night adds and comic book promises, is there any way to help boost my signal on my phone that actually works?
Don't tell me to wrap it in tinfoil or attach coat hangers Ive tried them.
How about an antenna for my house or a code to enter or am I just dreaming and stuck with a useless POS for another 2 years?

By the way on an up note it takes the best pics I have ever seen come off a phone, BIG DEAL!

    Please help

    Re: Rogers Signal

It could be a possibility that where your house is located the reception is bad, or that your house has some electromagnetic interference.

Does this problem occur when you leave the house?
In around 10 random places, how many places do you get good reception? If you get a lot of good reception then tis probably your phones problem, try putting your SIM into another phone and try it there. I've been using Rogers for quite a while now, never had any reception problems, except in portables, don't know why, probably electromagentic interference.

    Hope this helps!
