News: Rogers launching HUP on May 5th

The above document is info on the Rogers Hardware Upgrade Program. This program will take effect on May 5th and will allow Rogers customers to "accelerate their hardware upgrade eligibility".

The program will be based on how long it's been from the last time you had your phone activated. This fee is a one time fee and the formula for Rogers to determine the upgrade is the Monthly Early Upgrade Fee x # of remaining months before the Hardware Upgrade Program eligibility date + Hardware Upgrade Program price. The Monthly Early Upgrade Fee is shown here:

- $10 per month for existing voice/QMD (Quick Messaging devices)
- $15 per month for select feature devices, tablets and smartphones
- $20 per month for premium devices (including iPhone and BlackBerry Torch)

And, depending on Rogers customers handsets, Rogers will be changing the standard HUP wait program that will be from 18-30 months.
