This is a used, like-new Nokia 6185i candybar-style dual band/tri-mode AMPS/800 mHz CDMA/1900 mHz CDMA cellular telephone for use on the Verizon Wireless system. The phone is a few years old, but has only been used minimally as a back-up phone. The phone is in excellent condition with no/extremely minor scratches or blemishes, and the screen has been protected with plastic palm pilot screen protectors that I cut to exactly match the screen. The phone functions perfectly in all respects, and gets absolutely great reception. The earpiece is clear and loud (much louder than newer phones). The phone has 4 built-in games and 40 or so ringers. I have never had a problem with getting a signal on this phone, and even with one bar, the reception is amazing. Of all of the phones that I’ve used, this is the closest thing to a land-line that I’ve ever used. True, it’s a few years old, but given the sad state of affairs of many new phones (new technology with glitches and freezes), this is a very reliable and capable phone. The only programming/software glitch that I’ve found is that the lifetime timer somehow got revved up to reflect more than 12 years of usage. Hmm… since this is absolutely ridiculous, I wouldn’t even pay attention to it. It hasn’t been used nearly that much, and I would have to say that the timer was screwed up during an OTA (over-the-air) programming session or firmware update.

This phone is guaranteed to power up and complete and test call to Verizon Wireless (via *611). It was originally purchased unlocked, and I went through the steps to program my number and Verizon system ID into the phone and then used OTA programming at regular intervals to get the most recent software updates for roaming lists (PRLs) and the like. Everything has been reset and the phone has been cleared of all personal information. The security code will be included in the box, along with a short list of programming codes so that you can change the phone number, banner, etc. The phone includes all of the original accessories (including the box, manuals, and home AC charger). I will also include an OEM rapid car charger, OEM headset with in-line mic and on/off switch, an aftermarket leather case, and an aftermarket belt clip/holster.

I consistently got 3+ hours of talk time with this phone and several days stand-by.
