HI, Make an offer on a like new phone. The phone works fully of course(only used 2 weeks) and the information for it so you can check it out with sprint before you buy it is: ESN DEC-13200664747, ESN HEX-840A24AB, and SERIAL-309001497. This phone was given to me by my company and unfortunely I am already locked into a contract with another carrier....So, I couldn't use it. Shipping is $14.99 which includes up to $500 worth of insurance. I live in North Carolina so pick up is fine as well. Please email me any questions that you may have.

Here is a review of the phone:

Hitachi’s G1000 is the first device on the Pocket PC platform to offer a digital camera, built-in keyboard, and phone in one unit. Using a high-speed enhanced Sprint Nationwide PCS Network connection, the G1000 makes taking photos, browsing the Web, and sending messages fast and efficient. The 3-1/2-inch, 65,000-color advanced TFT screen offers a huge display for viewing pictures, Web pages, and documents while the comfortable built-in keyboard provides easier text entry for typing emails or text messages and for entering data using the Memo, Pocket Excel/Word, or Calendar software. The built-in VGA camera rotates 180 degrees to take pictures with a resolution quality of 640 x 480 pixels and also has 2X and 4X zoom and color adjustment settings. After capturing photos, users can store them, edit them, send them in email, or attach them to contacts in the phone book. The G1000 ships with 32 MB of SDRAM for storage but its MMC/SD expansion slot accepts memory cards for increased storage and for sending larger multimedia files between compatible devices. Notable phone functions on the G1000 include a contact list, speakerphone, voice dial, speed dial, a call log, three-way calling, call waiting, 4/5 digit calling, and customizable ring tones. For safety, the phone is also embedded with a GPS chip, making users easy to locate in the event of an emergency situation. The Lithium-Ion battery is rated for up to 2.5 hours of digital talk time and 168 hours (7 days) of digital standby time.

    4 out of 5 stars Hitachi G1000 - best all-in-one, February 2, 2004

Pharos makes a direct-connect GPS antenna for this unit. Only complaints - still using PC2002 and the SPRINTPCS site does not recognize PIE as a valid web browser for downloading stuff directly. That's OK, I use other sites for downloading. I use Citrix client for remote LAN access over Sprint's network - best of both worlds; wireless web and total access at work. I seldom use the keyboard, but when I do it's very convenient. I use NYDITOT's screen resolution changer to view 800x600 sites (as well as other resolutions). Very solid performance. Speaker-phone and voice-command dialing are pretty good. Sprint's service is pretty solid. Doesn't work well with AirScanner, but it works well with every other program I have tried - eevn those that are quirky on Ipaq and Dell seem to run without complaints on the G1000. If you DON'T like the built-in keyboard, you may not be comfortable with the added-size this puts on the PDA. But the case is well-designed and works great. Camera is excellent (for it's size). This is definitely MY favorite - over the following I've had over the years: Handspring, Casiopeia, Ipaq, Dell both in form and function overall.

5 out of 5 stars Great phone, not too many quirks, May 21, 2004

I have had my G1000 for a couple of months now and I love it. Ever since getting my first Palm 3, I wished a device like this existed. I was really in the market for an all in one, I really liked the Handspring Treo 600. It had the nicenst look, but the clincher for the G1000 was the web browser. The IE Browser can handle large web pages. The Palm browser dies after a certain size. I have a new business that needs to be run mobil. With the G1000, I can place a call, send a snapshot of an item I need to sell, answer emails on the fly or research something on the web.
Not everything is perfect though. The phone MUST be charged everyday. Put it on the cradle whenever you can and invest in travel and car chargers. The dial by name is interesting, however it can be frustrating when driving that it will not recognize a name, or if you finally do get it to, it will confuse yes for no. The external keyboard is great for alpha characters, but clumsy for digits. It would be nice if the num lock was automatically set for numeric fields, but it does not. The stylus letter recognizer is a bit clumsy if you were trained in Palm Grafitti. Also, make sure you read the manual. I have had stupid mistakes because a switch has been hit or a configuration item set wrong and spent hours with Sprint tech support trying to figure it out when it was only a 2 second fix. All in all, it is a superb phone, although large in size, its smaller than having both a phone and PDA, and best of all, any tech weenie you know will bow before you!
