Samsung Galaxy Prevail screen freezing

I have a Samsung Galaxy Prevail that I've had since November 2011. I was curious does anyone else have the issues of the screen freezing up and won't do anything, a incoming caller says that the phone has this funny loud noise on the other end and the battery in the phone stays hot 85% of the time even if I'm only talking for maybe 20 minutes?

Have you installed anything recently that may be causing things to freeze or run a process in the background? I would uninstall everything you don't need and if that doesn't work, do a hard reset to erase everything and start over. Make sure you backup everything first.
