Taking and Sharing a Photo

  1. From the Home screen, tap Camera.
  2. Or, in case the Camera shortcut is missing from the Home screen, tap Apps -> tap Camera.
  3. Tap the Mode button if you want to change the camera mode. In case a Tips prompt shows up, tap OK.
  4. To view the description of each camera mode, swipe up or down on the screen.
  5. To take a look at all the available modes, tap the Grid icon located at the bottom left corner of the screen (when smartphone is held horizontally).
  6. Then select the camera mode that you want to use.
  7. To take a photo, tap the Camera icon.
  8. If you want to take a panoramic photo, select the panoramic mode -> tap the Capture icon once to begin recording -> rotate your Samsung Galaxy S4 slowly to capture the image, but keep it steady in your hands -> when finished, tap the Camera icon again.
  9. To preview the photos you shot, tap the gallery preview -> tap OK.
  10. To share some of your photos, tap the Share icon located at the top of the screen (when held vertically) -> select the sharing method you’d like to use (choose from Google+, Dropbox, Email, Bluetooth and much more). For the purpose of this tutorial we’ll go with Google+.
  11. Now edit the sharing options -> then tap Share.
  12. Your photo is now sent.

Using Dual Shot

Want do take photos with both your front and rear camera at the same time? Dual Shot is the feature that makes this possible.

  1. From the Home screen, tap Camera.
  2. Or, in case the Camera shortcut is missing from the Home screen, tap Apps -> tap Camera.
  3. Then tap the Dual shot icon -> touch the front-facing camera image.
  4. You can resize the front-facing image by tapping and dragging it from the corner of the window.
  5. If you also want to reposition the front-facing image, tap and drag the window to another location of the screen.
  6. Now fame the photo and when you’re ready, tap the Camera icon.
  7. Congratulations! You managed to take a picture using dual shot.

Using Sound and Shot

Add a couple of seconds of background sound and enrich your photos with Sound and shot!

  1. From the Home screen, tap Camera.
  2. Or, in case the Camera shortcut is missing from the Home screen, tap Apps -> tap Camera.
  3. Tap MODE -> then go to the Sound & shot mode and tap this option -> frame your subject -> then, when ready, tap the Camera icon.
  4. Now wait a few moments until the smarpthone is recording the background sound.
  5. You can also stop the recording manually by tapping the Stop button.
  6. Congratulations! You’ve just recorded the first image with background sound using the Sound and shot mode.

Recording a Video

  1. From the Home screen, tap Camera.
  2. Or, in case the Camera shortcut is missing from the Home screen, tap Apps -> tap Camera.
  3. Now switch to the Camcorder mode by tapping the Camcorder icon.
  4. To start recording a movie, tap the Camera icon.
  5. When finished recording, tap the Camera icon again.

Sharing a Video

  1. From the Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Gallery -> touch the album where the video is saved at -> then tap and hold the video you’d like to share -> tap the Share icon located at the top right side of the screen -> select the desired sharing service (choose from Bluetooth, Dropbox, Google +, YouTube and more). For the purpose of this tutorial we’ll select YouTube -> select the desired upload option if prompted and tap OK.
  3. Now edit the Title and Description of the video and make the other desired changes for the remaining options.
  4. When done, tap the Upload icon.
  5. In case you’re not yet logged in on YouTube, enter now the login information and select Sign in.
  6. Your video has been successfully shared.
