APN Settings (T-Mobile-Only Guide):

  1. While on the home screen, press the "Menu" button
  2. Select "Settings"
  3. Go to the "Connections" tab
  4. Tap "More networks" > "Mobile networks" > "Access point names"
  5. If available, press the "T-Mobile US LTE" APN. If missing, press the "+" button located at the top of the screen
  6. Verify and –if necessary- update the following settings for the Data APN:
    • Name: T-Mobile US LTE
    • APN: fast.t-mobile.com
    • Proxy: <Not set>
    • You can also set: 216.155.165.050
    • Port: <Not set>
    • You can also set: 8080
    • Username: <Not set>
    • Password: <Not set>
    • Server: <Not set>
    • MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
    • MMS proxy: <Not set>
    • You can also set: 216.155.165.050
    • MMS port: <Not set>
    • You can also set: 8080
    • MCC: 310
    • MNC: 260
    • Authentication type: <Not set>
    • APN type: <Not set> OR default,mms,supl
    • APN protocol: IPv6
    • APN roaming protocol: IPv4
    • Turn APN on/off: <greyed out unless there are multiple APN's>
    • Bearer: Unspecified
    • Mobile virtual network operator type: none
    • Mobile virtual network operator value: not set
  7. Press the "Menu" key on your device
  8. Tap "Save" and select the APN profile that you wish to use

Note: to reset your APN settings, while at step 5, press the "Menu" button and tap "Restore to default"

Data Settings:

  1. While on the home screen, drag the "Status" bar down
  2. Make sure that Wi-Fi is enabled
  3. Go back to the home screen and press the "Menu" button
  4. Select "Settings" and go to the "Connections" tab
  5. Tap "More networks"
  6. If necessary, tap "Airplane mode" to unmark the check box
  7. Press the "Back" button and tap "Data usage"
  8. Mark the check box associated with "Mobile data" to enable this feature

Manual Network Selection:

  1. From the home screen, tap the "Menu" button
  2. Select "Settings"
  3. Go to the "Connections" tab
  4. Tap "More networks" > "Mobile networks" > "Network operators"
  5. Tap "Search now"

Switching Between 2G and 4G Connectivity:

  1. From any of the home screens, press the "Menu" button
  2. Go to "Settings"
  3. Tap the "Connections" tab
  4. Tap "More networks" > "Mobile networks" > "Network mode"
  5. Select one of the following options:
    • LTE / WCDMA/GSM (auto connect)
    • WCDMA/GSM (auto connect)
    • WCDMA only
    • GSM only

Enabling / Disabling Airplane Mode:

  1. While viewing the home screen, press the "Menu" button
  2. Select "Settings"
  3. Go to the "Connections" tab
  4. Mark or unmark the check box associated with "Airplane mode" to enable or disable this feature

Enabling / Disabling Data Roaming:

  1. From the home screen, press the "Menu" button
  2. Select "Settings"
  3. Tap the "Connections" tab
  4. Tap "More settings" > "Mobile networks"
  5. Mark or unmark the "Data roaming" check box to enable or disable this feature
