The Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom has been recently released in the US via AT&T, and since the carrier in question has also retailed the highest amount of iPhones, you might find yourself in a position where you'd like to transfer your iPhone contacts to a recently purchased Zoom. Below you will find four easy methods of transferring contacts from an iPhone to the Zoom. Each method has its advantages, so pick the one that you find most useful / easy.

NOTE: this tutorial works with any Galaxy S4 Zoom variant, not only AT&T's.

Transferring Contacts from an iPhone Using iTunes:

  1. Launch iTunes on your computer. If necessary, visit the official Apple website and download the iTunes client (install etc.)
  2. Connect your iPhone to your computer using the proprietary USB cable
  3. Once connected, iTunes should show your device. Click on it to view the handset's summary page
  4. Go to the "Info" tab
  5. Mark the check box associated with "Sync Contacts With". From the drop-down menu, select "Google Contacts"
  6. If you haven't done so previously, enter your Google account login credentials. Alternatively, click "Configure" and select a previously set Google account
  7. Click "Apply" and allow iTunes to sync the contacts with your Google account
  8. On your Galaxy S4 Zoom, register the same Google account, if you haven't done so already. To register an account, go to "Settings" > "Account"
  9. Allow the Google account to sync your contacts with your phone

Using iCloud to Transfer Contacts from an iPhone:

If you've previously enabled the iCloud service on your iPhone, then your contacts should have been packed up to your iCloud account. As such, you can use iCloud in order to get those contacts onto your S4 Zoom. To do so:

  1. On your computer, use the Internet browser to access www.icloud.com
  2. Sign in to your iCloud account
  3. Click "Contacts" to view the list of contacts
  4. From the list, select the contacts that you wish to export to your SGS4 Zoom
  5. Click the button depicting a cog wheel (located at the lower-left corner), and select "Export vCard"
  6. After your computer downloads the VCF file containing the contacts, import the VCF file to Google Contacts. Alternatively, skip this step and follow the one below instead:
  7. Connect your Galaxy S4 Zoom to your computer, and access the "/sdcard" directory. Copy the VCF file in that folder, and then open the "Contacts" application > tap "Menu" > "Import / Export" > "Import from SD card"
