Transferring Audio Files from a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect your smartphone to your PC via USB
  2. Drag the "Status" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device" > "Media device (MTP)"
  3. In the auto-run window, click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer". (Otherwise, navigate to your phone's storage manually)
  4. Open a new Windows Explorer window and navigate to where the audio files are located on your PC
  5. Copy the files and paste them onto your phone's storage
  6. Once finished, safely disconnect your smartphone

Transferring Audio Files from a Mac Computer:

  1. If necessary, use your Mac's Internet browser to visit samsung.com/kies and download Kies for Mac OS
  2. Once Kies is installed, connect your smartphone to your Mac via USB
  3. Drag the "Status" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device" > "Media device"
  4. Open Kies and click the "Folder" icon associated with either "Internal memory" or "External memory"
  5. Navigate to where the desired audio files are on your computer, and drag them into Kies
  6. After the files have been copied, disconnect your handset from your Mac

Adding Audio Files to the Ringtone List:

  1. While viewing the home screen, press the "Menu" key
  2. Tap "Settings" and "Sound" under the "My device" tab
  3. Tap "Ringtones" > "Add"
  4. Select either "Choose music track" or "Sound picker"
  5. Select "Just once" or "Always"
  6. Choose what audio files you wish to add and tap "OK"

Adding Audio Files to the Notification List:

  1. Press the "Apps" icon located on the home screen
  2. Tap "My files" > "All files"
  3. Navigate to where the audio files are located
  4. Tap and hold a file and select "Copy"
  5. Select "Device storage", go to the "Notifications" folder and tap "Paste here"

Changing the Notifications Sound:

  1. Press the "Menu" key while on the home screen
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Under "My device", tap "Sound"
  4. Select "Notifications"
  5. Choose the desired notification sound and tap "OK" to assign it

Changing the Ringtone for All Calls:

  1. Press "Menu" on the home screen
  2. Tap "Settings" > "Sound"
  3. Select "Ringtones"
  4. Tap the ringtone that you want to assign and press "OK" to confirm

Changing the Ringtone for One Contact:

NOTE: you can't assign custom ringtones to contacts that are saved on your SIM card or your phone's internal storage

  1. Tap the "Contacts" icon located on the home screen
  2. Select the desired contact
  3. Press the "Edit" icon (depicting a pencil)
  4. Tap "Ringtone"
  5. Select the ringtone that you want to assign to the contact
  6. Tap "OK" to confirm
  7. Press "Save"
