Transferring Contacts Using iTunes:

iTunes is a great tool, allowing the user to transfer / sync contacts from an iPhone to a Google account. This evidently makes it easier for Android users to transfer their contacts from an iPhone. Synced contacts include the contact information, email, address and any other details. For this method you need a computer with iTunes installed, an Internet connection and the iPhone's USB connector.

  1. Launch iTunes on your PC
  2. Establish a connection between your iPhone and computer via USB
  3. Once connected, the iPhone will appear in iTunes. Click it to access its summary page
  4. Click the "Info" tab and mark the "Sync Contacts With" check box
  5. Select "Google Contacts" from the drop-down menu
  6. Enter your Google account's log in credentials. If you have previously added a Google account, you can click "Configure" and select it
  7. Click "Apply" and your iPhone contacts will sync with your Google account
  8. On your Galaxy Prevail 2, go to "Settings" > "Accounts" and add the same Google account, if necessary
  9. Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android device

Using iCloud to Transfer iPhone Contacts:

The iCloud back up service includes the option of contact transfer. As long as you've previously backed up your iPhone's contacts, you can transfer them on your Android smartphone through a VCF file. For this method, you need a computer and an Internet connection.

  1. On your computer's Internet browser, go to https://www.icloud.com/
  2. Click "Contacts" to view the list, and select the desired contacts
  3. Click the "Settings" icon located in the bottom-left side and select "Export vCard"
  4. A VCF file will be downloaded on your computer
  5. Import the VCF file to "Google Contacts". Otherwise, you can skip this step, and perform the next one instead:
  6. Connect the Galaxy Prevail 2 to your PC via USB, and copy the vCard file to the "sdcard" directory. Then, launch the "Contacts" app, press "Menu" > "Import / Export" > "Import from SD card". Then, select an account and the VCF file if necessary, and tap "OK"

Using the "Bump" Application:

If you don't have access to a computer then worry not. There are tons of applications that can help you transfer the contacts from your iPhone. Bump is one of them, and uses cloud connectivity to perform the transfer from one device to another. For this approach, all you need is an active Internet connection on both your handsets

  1. Visit the App Store and install "Bump" on your iPhone
  2. Install the application on your Prevail 2, from the Play Store
  3. Open the application on both smartphones and allow permissions
  4. On the iPhone, access the contacts section and select the ones that you want to share
  5. After the "Bump now!" label appears, you are ready to begin the transfer
  6. Lightly bump the two smartphones
  7. A "Connect" button should pop-up on both smartphones' screen. Tap "Connect"
  8. Your iPhone contacts should now be transferred over to the Prevail 2 via cloud

Using the "My Contacts Backup" Application

Much like with "Bump" for this method you don't need access to a computer. My Contacts Backup is an iOS application that can create a VCF file containing your iPhone's contacts, and send it to your Android device via email.

  1. Install "My Contacts Backup" on your iPhone from the App Store
  2. Open the application and tap "Backup"
  3. After the backup process ends, tap "Email" to compose a new email and attach the VCF backup file to it
  4. Send the email to your own Gmail address
  5. On the Galaxy Prevail 2, open the email and download the VCF file attachment
  6. Import the contacts on your device using the "Contacts" application
