Transferring Audio Files
Transferring Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Establish a connection between your Ace Style and PC via USB
- Swipe the "Status" bar down on the Ace, and tap "Connected as a media device" > "Media device (MTP)"
- From the AutoPlay window on the computer, click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
- Open a second Windows Explorer window and navigate to where the audio files are stored on your PC
- Copy the audio files that you wish to use as ringtones or notifications
- Paste the files on your phone's storage
- Once the transfer is done, safely disconnect your smartphone
Transferring Audio Files from a Mac Computer:
NOTE: Skip the first 2 steps if you already have Kies installed on your Mac
- Visit Kies using your Mac's Internet browser
- Click "Download for Mac OS" and install Kies on your computer
- After the installation is complete, connect your Ace Style to the computer via USB
- Drag the "Status" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device"
- Mark the "Media device" check box
- Launch Kies on the Mac
- In Kies, click the "Folder" icon next to "Internal memory" or "External memory"
- Navigate to where you wish to add the music files
- On the Mac computer, locate the desired audio files stored on the computer's HDD
- Drag the files and drop them in Kies
- After the files have been transferred, safely disconnect your smartphone
Managing the Ringtone and Notification List
Adding Audio Files to the Ringtone List:
- While viewing the home screen, press the "Menu" button
- Tap "Settings"
- Access the "my device" tab
- Tap "Sound" > "Ringtones" > "Add"
- Select "Sound picker" or "Choose music track"
- Choose "Always" or "Just once"
- Tap the desired audio file and tap "OK"
Adding Sound Files to the Notification List:
- Tap the "Apps" icon located on the home screen
- Tap "My files" > "All files"
- Navigate to where you've copied the audio files from the computer
- Tap and hold the desired file, and tap "Copy"
- Select "Device storage" and open the "Notifications" folder
- Tap "Paste here"
Setting Custom Sounds
Changing the Ringtone of All Calls:
- Press the "Menu" button while on the home screen
- Tap "Settings"
- Go to the "My device" tab
- Tap "Sound" > "Ringtones"
- Select the desired ringtone and tap "OK"
Changing the Ringtone for One Contact:
NOTE: you can't assign custom ringtones to contacts that are stored on the phone's internal memory or the SIM card.
- Launch the "Contacts" application
- Select the desired contact and tap the "Edit" icon shaped like a pencil
- Tap "Ringtone"
- Select the desired ringtone and tap "OK" to assign it
- Tap "Save"
Changing the Notifications Sound:
- From the home screen, press the "Menu" button
- Tap "Settings"
- Access the "My Device" tab
- Tap "Sound" > "Notifications"
- Select the desired notification sound and press "OK"
