Using iTunes to Transfer Contacts:

iTunes allows you to sync the contacts of an iPhone with a Google account. In turn, this allows you to synchronize the contacts from your Google account with your Samsung Galaxy K Zoom. Synced contacts include the contact image, notes, email and other details. For this approach you need a computer with iTunes installed and access to the Internet.

  1. Launch iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  3. Once connected, the iPhone will appear in iTunes. Click it
  4. From the summary page, go to the "Info" tab
  5. Mark the "Sync Contacts With" check box
  6. From the drop-down list, select "Google Contacts"
  7. Enter your Google account's log in credentials. If you've already registered a Google account in iTunes, you can click "Configure" and select it from the list
  8. Click "Apply" and allow iTunes to sync the contacts with the account
  9. On the Galaxy K Zoom, add the same Google account as the one used in iTunes. NOTE: if you need to add an account, access the phone's "Settings" menu and tap "Accounts"
  10. Allow the Google account to sync contacts with the Galaxy K Zoom

Using iCloud to Transfer Contacts:

A different method of contact transfer is through iCloud. If you've used the backup service on your iPhone before, your contacts should be backed up on the iCloud account. By accessing it using a computer with Internet connection, you can export these contacts in the form of a vCard file. To do so:

  1. Launch the Internet browser on your computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
  3. Click "Contacts"
  4. From the list of contacts, select the ones that you wish to export
  5. Click the settings icon depicting a "cog wheel" (situated in the lower-left area)
  6. Select "Export vCard" and your computer will download the VCF file containing the contacts
  7. Import the VCF file to "Google Contacts". As an alternative, you can connect the Galaxy K Zoom to the PC using the USB cable, and copy the VCF file in the "sdcard" directory. Then, launch the "People" application, press "Menu" > "Import / Export" > "import from SD card". Finally, select an account if necessary, and load the desired VCF file

Using "My Contacts Backup":

Assuming that you don't have access to a computer with Internet access / iTunes or an iCloud account, you can easily transfer your contacts from the iPhone over to the Galaxy K Zoom using third party applications such as "My Contacts Backup". This is an iOS app that can compile all of your contacts in a vCard file, which can then be sent via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install "My Contacts Backup" on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap "Backup"
  3. Once the backup file has been created, tap "Email" to attach it to a new email
  4. Enter your own Gmail address as the recipient, and send the email to your own address
  5. On the Galaxy K Zoom, open the email and download the attachment
  6. Import the backup file's contacts using the "People" app, and the "Import from" function

Transferring Contacts through "Send Anywhere":

Last but definitely not least, you can use "Send Anywhere" to transfer contacts. This is an iOS and Android application that uses a peer-2-peer connection in order to perform the transfer. As such, there's no need for a computer.

  1. Visit the Google Play Store and download "Send Anywhere" on the K Zoom
  2. From the App Store, install the same app on the iPhone as well
  3. Launch the app on both devices
  4. Tap "Send" on the iPhone, followed by "Contacts"
  5. Select the contacts that you want to transfer
  6. Tap "Send" and choose a method of transfer. You can tap "Generate QR Code" and scan the code with the Galaxy K Zoom's camera in order to commence the file transfer. You can also tap "Receive" on the Android device, and enter the transfer code generated on the iPhone
