    Changing the Default Keyboard:

    1. While viewing the home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Under "System", tap "Language and input"
    4. Tap the "Settings" icon associated with "Samsung keyboard"
    5. Tap "English (US)"
    6. Select either "QWERTY keyboard" or "3 x 4 keyboard"

    Entering Symbols & Numbers With the Keyboard:

    1. To enter numbers, tap the "123 Sym" while viewing the alphabet keyboard
    2. To enter symbols, tap the "Sym" key. For additional symbols, tap "1/2"
    3. To return to the alphabet keyboard, tap "ABC"
    4. In order to insert emoticons, press the "Menu" key, tap "Insert smiley" and tap the desired emoticon

    Changing Text Entry Mode:

    1. While viewing a home screen, tap "Apps"
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Under "System", tap "Language and input"
    4. Tap the "Settings" icon associated with "Samsung keyboard"
    5. To enable predictive text:
      1. Scroll to "Smart typing" and tap "Predictive text"
      2. Tap the switch associated with "Predictive text" and set it to "On"
      3. Optionally, mark the "Live word update" check box
      4. To customize how Predictive text learns, mark / clear the check boxes associated with the following
        • Learn from Facebook
        • Learn from Gmail
        • Learn from Twitter
        • Learn from Messages
        • Learn from Contacts
        • Clear server data
        • Clear personal data
      5. You can tap the "Privacy Policy" to learn more about it

    Enabling / Disabling Haptic Feedback:

    1. While on the home screen, tap "Apps"
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Under "System", tap "Language and input"
    4. Tap the "Settings" icon associated with "Samsung keyboard"
    5. Under "Key-Tap Feedback", mark or clear the check box associated with "Sound" and "Vibration"
