Inserting the SD Card:
- Power off your K Zoom
- Remove the SD Card cover
- Insert the SD card in its compartment. Make sure you insert it the proper way
- Close the SD card cover and power on your device
- To view the free SD card space, tap "Apps" from the home screen
- Go to "Settings"
- Tap "Storage" under "System"
- View the amount of "Available space" under "SD Card"
Changing the Default Storage Location
NOTE: by default, the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom will store data on the internal memory (ROM). You can, however, change the settings in various applications, so that they use the SD card as the default storage location.
Changing the Storage Location for the Camera App:
- From the home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
- Tap "Camera" and touch the "Settings" icon located at the upper-left area
- Swipe up and select "Storage"
- Tap "Memory Card" to change the storage location to the SD card
Changing the Storage Location for the "Voice Recorder" App:
- Tap the "Apps" icon located on the home screen
- Launch the "Voice recorder" application
- Tap the "Settings" icon
- Swipe up and tap "Storage"
- Select "Memory card"
Changing the Storage Location for DLNA (Nearby Devices):
- Open the apps drawer
- Tap "Settings"
- Tap "Nearby Devices" under "Connect and Share"
- Tap the switch next to "Nearby devices" and set it to "ON"
- Tap "Download to"
- Select "SD Card"
Changing the Storage Location for the Internet App:
- Tap "Apps" while on a home screen
- Open the "Internet" app
- Press the "Menu" key and tap "Settings"
- Tap "Content settings" under "Advanced"
- Tap "Default storage"
- Select "SD Card"
Opening and / or Deleting Files on the SD Card
Opening or Deleting Files on the SD Card Using the Smartphone:
- Launch the apps drawer
- Tap "My Files"
- Go to "Local storage" and tap "SD card"
- Tap "SD memory card" and press the "Menu" button located in the top-right area
- Tap "Select" and mark the check boxes next to the desired content type
- Mark the check boxes to the left of the files and folders that you want to delete
- Tap "Done" > "OK"
Opening or Deleting Files on the SD Card Using a Windows Computer:
- Use the USB cable to connect the Galaxy K Zoom to your computer
- From the home screen, swipe the "Status" bar down
- Tap "USB connected" > "Connect USB storage"
- From the AutoPlay window, click "Open folder to view files" > "OK"
- A Windows Explorer window showing two directories should appear. The "Card" icon represents the phone's SD storage
- Access the SD card and navigate to the desired files that you wish to view or delete
- After viewing or deleting the desired files, tap "Disconnect storage from PC" on the handset
Opening or Deleting Files on the SD Card Using a Mac Computer:
NOTE: you need to follow the first 2 steps only if you don't have Samsung Kies on your Mac
- Open the Internet browser on the Mac and visit Kies
- Click "Download for Mac OS", and follow the on-screen instructions to install Kies on your computer
- Establish a connection between your K Zoom and Mac computer via USB
- On the smartphone, swipe the "Status" bar down
- Tap "Connected as a media device" and mark the "Media device" check box
- From your computer, launch Kies. Your Galaxy K Zoom should appear under "Connected devices"
- From Kies, locate the files that you wish to open or remove. NOTE: you can navigate to the SD card directory by clicking the "Folder" icon associated with "External memory"
- Double click a file to open it
- To remove a file or folder, mark its check box and click the "Trash can" icon, followed by "OK"
- Once you're done, safely disconnect your smartphone
Transferring Files Between the Internal and External Storage
Transferring Files from the Internal Storage to the SD Card:
- From the home screen, tap "Apps"
- Tap "My Files"
- Tap "Device storage" under "Local storage"
- Locate the desired files on the internal memory
- Mark the check boxes next to the desired folders or files
- Tap the "Menu" icon and select "Move". NOTE: you can tap "Copy" if you wish to create duplicate copies of the files
- Tap "SD memory card"
- Navigate to where you wish to transfer the files on the external storage
- Tap "Move here" or "Paste here"
Transferring Files from the SD Card to the Internal Storage:
- Open the apps drawer and launch the "My Files" app
- Tap "SD card" under "Local storage"
- Tap "SD memory card"
- Locate the desired files stored on the SD card
- Mark the check boxes associated with the files that you want to transfer
- Tap the "Menu" icon
- Select "Move" or "Copy". NOTE: select "Move" to avoid creating duplicate files
- Tap "Device storage" and navigate to where you wish to move / copy the files on the internal memory
- Tap "Move here" or "Paste here"

Found this really helpful except now I've tranferred existing photo albums to the SD card I can't see them, any suggestions? Many thanks
