Inserting the SD Card:
- With your smartphone turned off, remove the back cover
- Insert a SIM card if necessary, before attempting to fit the SD Card
- Next up, insert the SD card in its slot. The gold contacts should be facing down
- Refit the back cover and restart your device

- Tap "Apps" while on the home screen
- Access the phone's "Settings" menu
- Go to "Connect and Share", and tap "Nearby Devices"
- Set the "Nearby Devices" switch to "ON"

Opening or Deleting Files from the SD Card
Deleting Files Using the Smartphone:
- Launch the apps drawer and open the "My Files" app
- Tap "Local storage" > "SD card"
- Tap "SD memory card" and press "Menu"
- Tap "Select", and mark the check boxes next to the content type you wish to delete
- Mark the files / folders you wish to delete and tap "Done"
- Tap "OK" and you're set
Opening or Deleting Files Stored on the SD Card via a Windows Computer:
- Connect the Samsung Galaxy Star 2 to your PC via USB
- While on the home screen, drag the "Status" bar down
- From the notification area, tap "USB connected" > "Connect USB storage"
- In the AutoPlay window on the computer, click to "Open folder to view files"
- Access the "Card" directory on your device
- Navigate to the desired files and view / delete them
- After you're done, tap "Disconnect storage from PC"
Opening or Deleting Files Stored on the SD Card via a Mac Computer:
NOTE: The first 2 steps should be skipped if Kies is already installed on your computer
- Open the Internet browser on the Mac and visit Kies
- From there, click "Download for Mac OS" and follow the on-screen steps to install Kies on your computer
- Using the USB cable, connect the Star 2 to your Mac
- From the home screen, swipe the "Status" bar and tap "Connected as a media device"
- If necessary, mark the "Media device (MTP)" check box
- On the Mac, launch Kies and wait for the Star 2 to appear under "Connected devices"
- From Kies, click the "Folder" icon next to "External memory", and navigate to the desired files stored on the Star 2's SD card
- Double click to open a file, or mark it and click the "Trash Can" icon to remove it
- After you're done, click the "Samsung Galaxy Star 2" drive on the Mac's desktop and safely disconnect your device
Transferring Files From / To the SD Card
Transferring Files from the SD Card to the Phone's Storage:
- Go to the apps drawer and launch "My Files"
- Go to "Local storage" > "SD card"
- Tap "SD memory card" and navigate to where the desired files / folders are
- Mark the check boxes next to the files / folders you wish to transfer
- Press "Menu" and select to "Move" or "Copy" the files
- Tap "Device storage" and navigate to where the files should be transferred
- Once there, tap "Move here" or "Paste here"
Transferring Files from the Phone's Storage to the SD Card:
- Open the "My Files" app and swipe to "Local storage"
- Tap "Device storage" and locate the files stored on the internal memory
- Mark the check boxes next to the files and folders you wish to transfer
- Tap "Menu" and select to "Move" or "Copy" the files
- Tap "SD memory card" and navigate to where the files should be transferred
- Tap "Paste here" or "Move here"
