    Enabling Power Saving Mode:

    1. While viewing the home screen, tap "Apps"
    2. Go to "Settings"
    3. Swipe to "System" and tap "Power saving"
    4. Tap "Power saving mode" and set the option's slider to "ON"
    5. Set the "CPU performance", "Screen output", "Grayscale mode" options etc. to "ON" or "OFF" in order for these features to be enabled or disabled during power saving mode

    Enabling Ultra Power Saving Mode:

    1. From the home screen tap "Apps"
    2. Tap "Settings" and scroll to "System"
    3. Tap "Power saving" and then tap "Ultra Power Saving Mode"
    4. Tap the "Ultra Power Saving Mode" switch and set it to the "ON" position
    5. Set the Ultra power saving mode options for the "Phone", "Messages", "Internet" app as desired
    6. To add more apps / options to the mode, tap the "+" button

    Lowering the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Swipe to "Quick Settings" and then tap "Display"
    4. Tap "Brightness"
    5. If necessary, clear the "Automatic brightness" check box
    6. Drag the slider to the left and set it to a lower brightness value
    7. Tap "OK" > "Screen timeout"
    8. Select a lower setting, such as "15 seconds"

    Disabling Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS and Bluetooth:

    NOTE: Your smartphone's connectivity features can have a big impact on your phone's battery life, so it's always recommended to disable these features whenever they are not in use. To do so:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Tap "Settings" and swipe to "Network Connections"
    3. Tap "Tethering & Mobile Hotspot"
    4. Tap the Mobile Hotspot switch to "Off"
    5. Swipe the "Status" bar down and tap the icons associated with "Wi-Fi", "Location" and "Bluetooth" to disable these features

    Changing the Sync Settings for Apps:

    1. Tap "Apps" while on the home screen
    2. Go to "Settings" and swipe to "User and Backup"
    3. Tap "Accounts" and access the "Accounts" tab
    4. Select the desired account type and tap to adjust the available sync settings
    5. Tap your "user name" or "email address" at the top of the screen to access more sync options for your account

    Disabling Background Data:

    1. Open the apps drawer and go to "Settings"
    2. Swipe to "Network Connections" and then tap "Data usage"
    3. Press the "Menu" key and mark the "Restrict background data" check box

    Minimizing the Use of Third Party Apps:

    NOTE: Although you may not use certain third party apps, some of these applications can still have an impact on your phone's battery performance if they run processes and services in the background. As such, you might want to disable or uninstall apps you don't use.

    1. Access the phone's "Settings" menu
    2. Swipe to "Applications" and tap "Application manager"
    3. Access the "Downloaded" tab
    4. Tap "Disable" to turn off the app
    5. To completely remove the application, tap "Uninstall"

    Switching from 4G to 2G Connectivity:

    1. While on the home screen, tap "Apps"
    2. Go to "Settings" and swipe to "Network connections"
    3. Tap "More networks" > "Mobile networks"
    4. Tap "Network mode"
    5. To restrict the connection to 2G, tap "GSM only"
    6. To return to 4G connectivity, tap "LTE / WCDMA / GSM (auto connect)" or "WCDMA / GSM (auto connect)"

    Updating the Software:

    NOTE: Manufacturers sometime release new software updates that can include fixes and improvements to your phone's battery performance. As such, it's recommended that you keep your smartphone up to date. Keep in mind that following the steps below will have no effect on the battery performance if no update is available for download

    1. Tap "Apps" on the home screen
    2. Go to "Settings" and scroll to "System"
    3. Tap "About device" > "Software update"
    4. In case an update is available, follow the on-screen instructions to download and apply it

    Does the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime have a scheduled On & Off setting so it turns on and off at a determined hour?
