Using a Google Account:

NOTE: Using a Google account you can sync the contacts stored on your HTC One X, after which the account can be re-synced with the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime, allowing you to easily transfer contacts from one phone to the other. To use this method of transfer:

  1. On the HTC One X, sign in with your Google account
  2. Swipe the "Status" bar down using two fingers
  3. Tap "Settings" and under "Personal", tap "Accounts & sync"
  4. Tap "Google" and select your account
  5. Tap the "Menu" icon located in the top-right area and tap "Sync All". Alternatively, clear > mark the "Contacts" check box
  6. On the Samsung Galaxy Grand prime, register the same Google account as the one used on the HTC device
  7. Go to the "Settings" menu
  8. Swipe to "User and Backup" and tap "Accounts"
  9. Select an account
  10. Press "Menu" > "Sync all"

Using the "Import / Export" Function:

NOTE: Using the "People" / "Contacts" application and the "Import / Export" function, you can export the contacts on the One X as a VCF file, which can then be transferred to the Samsung device and imported. To do so:

  1. Launch the "People" application on the HTC One X
  2. Go to the "People" tab and press "Menu"
  3. Tap "Manage contacts" > "Import / Export contacts"
  4. Tap "Export to phone storage" and select an account
  5. Make sure you write down the VCF file's name for future use, and tap "OK"
  6. Open the Gmail / Email application and compose a new email
  7. Attach the exported VCF file to the email, and send it to your own Gmail address
  8. On the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime, open the email containing the attached file
  9. Download the file attachment and open the "Contacts" application
  10. Press "Menu" and tap "Import / Export" > "Import from SD card"
  11. Select an account if necessary, and load the vCard file's contents to your phonebook

NOTE: After the VCF file has been created / exported on the HTC One X, it can be transferred to the Galaxy Grand Prime without using an email, by connecting both smartphones to a computer via USB, and manually copy > pasting the file from one phone to another

Using "Send Anywhere":

Another method of contact transfer is through various third party applications such as "Send Anywhere". This is a third party app that can be used to transfer various types of files cross platform and from one device to another via a P2P connection. A computer is not required.

  1. Go to the Google Play Store and install "Send Anywhere" on your smartphone
  2. Open the app on both devices
  3. Switch to the HTC One X and tap "Send" > "Contacts"
  4. Select the contacts you want to transfer and tap "Send"
  5. Choose the desired method of transfer. Tapping "Receive" on the Samsung device will allow you to enter the transfer code generated on the HTC One X. Alternatively, you can tap "Generate QR Code" on the HTC device, and scan the code with the Grand Prime's camera to commence the contact transfer
