Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes you can sync the contacts stored on your iPhone with a Google account. Afterwards you can re-sync the contacts from Google with your Galaxy S5 Plus. This method requires a computer with Internet access and iTunes installed.

  1. Open iTunes on your computer
  2. Establish a connection between your iPhone and the computer via USB
  3. After it connects, the iPhone will appear in iTunes. Click it
  4. From the phone's summary page, click the "Info" tab
  5. Mark the check box next to "Sync Contacts With"
  6. Click the drop-down list and select "Google Contacts"
  7. Add the Google account you wish to sync. If you have already added an account you can click "Configure" and select it from the list
  8. To start the syncing process, click "Apply"
  9. Once the process is done, sign in with the Google account on the Galaxy S5 Plus and allow it to sync contacts with your phone

Using iCloud:

NOTE: Assuming that you have used the iCloud service in the past then your contacts should be stored on your iCloud account. By accessing it using your computer's Internet browser you can export the backed up contacts for use on your Android device. To do so:

  1. Open the Internet browser on your PC
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
  3. Click "Contacts" and select the contacts you want to export
  4. Click the "Settings" button and select to "Export vCard"
  5. The VCF file will be downloaded on your computer. Once done, import it to "Google Contacts" or:
  6. Connect the Galaxy S5 Plus to your computer via USB and manually transfer the VCF file to the phone's storage. Then, open the "Contacts" app, press "Menu" > "Settings" > "Contacts" > "Import / Export" and follow the on-screen steps to import the file

Using "My Contacts Backup":

NOTE: If you are looking for methods of contact transfer that don't require access to a computer then you can use various third party apps that can get the job done. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up your contacts in the form of a VCF file, which can then be sent via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install "My Contacts Backup" on your iPhone
  2. Open the application and tap "Backup"
  3. After the backup file was created, tap "Email" to start a new email
  4. Attach the VCF file to the email and send it to your Gmail address
  5. On the Galaxy S5 Plus, open the email and download the attachment
  6. Import the VCF file using the "Contacts" app and the "Import" option from the settings

Using "Send Anywhere":

NOTE: Another third party apps that you can use is "Send Anywhere". This is an iOS and Android app that can be used for transferring contacts cross-platform via a P2P connection.

  1. Go to the App Store and install "Send Anywhere" on your iPhone
  2. From the Play Store, download the app on the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus
  3. Open the application on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap "Send" > "Contacts"
  5. Select the contacts you wish to transfer and tap "Send"
  6. Lastly, choose a transfer method. You can tap "Generate QR Code" on the iPhone, and scan the code with the Galaxy S5 Plus' camera to begin the transfer. Tapping "Receive" on the S5 Plus allows you to enter the randomly generated transfer code from the iPhone
