Can I take a CDMA SIII & put a non blacklisted (good ESN) GSM motherboard (& anything else needed) into it, to convert it over? I don't care about any copyright issues (can't really see any if the MB is clean) or having to use a Dremel tool to hack or grind the main chassis. I'd like 4G, but not even sure if it's available in my area. I hate CDMA, even though some think it's better. I like the idea of a SIM card & being able to put them in any unlocked phone.

You can try, but at that point why not just get a GSM phone? (also it would be IMEI, not ESN - GSM carriers can't really blacklist an IMEI)
