    Check the Amount of SD Storage:

    1. From the home screen tap "Apps"
    2. Access "Settings"
    3. Go to "System" and tap "Storage"
    4. The "Available space" value and others are displayed under "SD Card"

    Format the SD Card:

    WARNING! Formatting the SD card will result in the deletion of all data stored on it. Make sure you back up any important data before proceeding.

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Swipe to "System" and tap "Storage"
    4. Tap "Format SD card"
    5. Tap "Delete all" to confirm

    Transfer Files From / To the SD Card

    Transfer Files between the SD card and a Windows computer:

    1. Use the USB cable to connect the Galaxy Core Prime to your computer
    2. Drag the "Status" bar down and tap "USB connected" > "Connect USB storage"
    3. In the AutoPlay window on the computer, click "Open folder to view files" > "OK"
    4. Locate the files you wish to transfer and perform the desired actions
    5. When you're done, tap "Disconnect storage from PC" and safely disconnect the smartphone from the computer

    Transfer Files from the Internal Storage to the SD:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Tap "My Files"
    3. Swipe to "Local storage"
    4. Tap "Device storage" and locate the files you want to transfer
    5. Check the boxes next to the desired files
    6. Press "Menu" and select "Copy" or "Move"
    7. Tap "SD memory card" and navigate to the directory you want to transfer files
    8. Tap "Move here" / "Paste here"

    Transfer Files From the SD Card to the Internal Storage:

    1. Launch "My Files"
    2. Under "Local Storage" tap "SD card"
    3. Locate and select the files you wish to transfer
    4. Press "Menu" > "Move" or "Copy"
    5. Tap "Device storage" and go to where you want to transfer the files
    6. Tap "Move here" or "Paste here" depending on your initial choice

    Change the Default Storage Location for Apps

    NOTE: Most default applications store information on the phone's internal memory by default. However most apps give the option to change the storage location to the SD card.

    Camera App Storage Settings:

    1. Launch the "Camera" app
    2. Tap "Settings" in the viewfinder
    3. Tap "Storage" and select "Memory Card"

    Voice Recorder app Storage Settings:

    1. Launch "Voice Recorder"
    2. Access the app's "Settings" menu
    3. Tap "Storage" and select "Memory Card"

    Internet Browser Storage Settings:

    1. Launch the "Internet" app
    2. Press "Menu" and select "Content settings"
    3. Tap "Default storage"
    4. Tap "SD card"

    I put as many of my apps on my 64gb external memory card as I could but now my phone has the name of the apps only and the apps dont work?

    I tried what was in this article to set the camera storage to default to the SD card, and have the green dot on "external storage", yet the camera still stores to internal memory. ??

    Android Assistant is a good tool to help manage both your SD card and internal memory data of Samsung on computer. Just need to connect your Samsung device to PC and run the software, you can manage your files easily.
