Restore Applications:
- If necessary, sign in to your Google account (the one used for the initial backup)
- Go to the phone's "Settings" menu
- Access the "Accounts" tab
- Tap "Google" > "Sync all"
- Press "Back" > "Backup and reset"
- Check / uncheck the boxes associated with "Backup my data" and "Automatic restore"
Restore Contacts:
- Go to the "Settings" menu
- From the "Accounts" tab, select either "Samsung" or "Google", depending on the type of account you used for the backup
- Tap your "email address" at the top of the screen
- Enable the "Sync contacts" check box and tap "Sync now"
Restore Media Files
From the SD Card:
- Open the apps drawer and launch "My Files"
- Tap "All files" > "SD card"
- Locate the media files you wish to restore
- Tap and hold an item you want to restore, and select "Move"
- The phone will now display the available memory locations. Tap the "folder name" or "Create new" to change the location
- After navigating to the desired location for the restore, tap "Move here"
Using a Windows PC:
- Connect the Galaxy Grand Neo Plus to your computer via USB
- If necessary, swipe the "Status" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device". Then, mark the "Media device" check box
- From the AutoPlay window on the computer, click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
- Open a second Windows Explorer window and locate the files backed up on your PC's HDD
- Copy the files, and restore them on your phone's storage (first Explorer window - "Card" is the SD directory / "Phone" represents the internal storage)
- Once the files have been transferred, click the "Mass storage device" icon in the system tray and eject the phone
- You can now safely disconnect the Grand Neo Plus from the computer
Using a Mac Computer:
- Connect the Grand Neo Plus to your Mac via USB
- If necessary, enable "Media device (MTP)" on the smartphone
- Launch Kies on the Mac and access the "Back up / restore" tab
- Click the "Restore" tab and mark the check boxes associated with "Music", "Photos", and other types of media files you wish to recover
- Click "Restore" and follow any on-screen prompts that may follow
- After the process is complete, eject the phone's virtual storage from the Mac and safely disconnect it
