Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Establish a USB connection between the Edge+ and computer
  2. Drag the “Status” bar down and tap “Connected as a media device” > “Media device (MTP)”
  3. From the AutoPlay window on the computer, click “Open device to view files” and access the “Media” directory on the phone
  4. Launch a second Explorer window and browse your PC for the audio files you want to use as ringtones / notifications
  5. Copy the desired files and transfer them in the first Explorer window on your phone (preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” folders
  6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device

Transfer Audio Files from a Mac:

NOTE: If Samsung Kies is already installed on your computer, skip the first 3 steps

  1. Open the Internet browser on your Mac and visit Kies Support
  2. Click “Kies 3 for Mac” to download the client
  3. Launch the “dmg” file and follow the on-screen prompts to install Kies on the Mac
  4. Connect the S6 Edge+ to your computer via USB, and make sure “Media Device (MTP)” is enabled in the notification area
  5. Open Kies on the Mac
  6. Click the “Folder” next to “Internal memory” or “External memory”, depending on where you want to add the music files
  7. Launch the file explorer on the Mac and locate the desired audio files on the computer
  8. Drag the files, and drop them in Kies
  9. After the transfer is complete, drag the phone’s virtual drive in the “trash can” icon and safely disconnect the phone

Add New Audio Files to the Ringtone List:

  1. Open the apps drawer on your phone
  2. Access “Settings” and tap “Sound”
  3. Scroll to “Ringtones and Notifications” and tap “Ringtones”
  4. Tap “Add” and select “Sound picker”
  5. Tap “Just once” or “Always”
  6. Select the audio file you want to add and tap “Done”

Change the Phone’s Ringtone:

  1. Tap “Apps”
  2. Access “Settings”
  3. Tap “Sound” and scroll to “Ringtones and Notifications”
  4. Tap “Ringtones” and select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “OK”

Change a Single Contact’s Ringtone:

  1. Open “Contacts” and tap the desired contact
  2. Tap “Edit” (icon shaped like a pencil)
  3. Tap “Ringtone” and select the ringtone you want to use
  4. Tap “OK” > “Save”

Change the Notification Sound:

  1. Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
  2. Tap “Sound”
  3. Under “Ringtones and Notifications”, tap “Notifications”
  4. Select the desired audio file and tap “OK”
