Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Establish a USB connection between the Edge+ and computer
- Drag the Status bar down and tap Connected as a media device > Media device (MTP)
- From the AutoPlay window on the computer, click Open device to view files and access the Media directory on the phone
- Launch a second Explorer window and browse your PC for the audio files you want to use as ringtones / notifications
- Copy the desired files and transfer them in the first Explorer window on your phone (preferably in the Ringtones / Notifications folders
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device
Transfer Audio Files from a Mac:
NOTE: If Samsung Kies is already installed on your computer, skip the first 3 steps
- Open the Internet browser on your Mac and visit Kies Support
- Click Kies 3 for Mac to download the client
- Launch the dmg file and follow the on-screen prompts to install Kies on the Mac
- Connect the S6 Edge+ to your computer via USB, and make sure Media Device (MTP) is enabled in the notification area
- Open Kies on the Mac
- Click the Folder next to Internal memory or External memory, depending on where you want to add the music files
- Launch the file explorer on the Mac and locate the desired audio files on the computer
- Drag the files, and drop them in Kies
- After the transfer is complete, drag the phones virtual drive in the trash can icon and safely disconnect the phone
Add New Audio Files to the Ringtone List:
- Open the apps drawer on your phone
- Access Settings and tap Sound
- Scroll to Ringtones and Notifications and tap Ringtones
- Tap Add and select Sound picker
- Tap Just once or Always
- Select the audio file you want to add and tap Done
Change the Phones Ringtone:
- Tap Apps
- Access Settings
- Tap Sound and scroll to Ringtones and Notifications
- Tap Ringtones and select the desired ringtone
- Tap OK
Change a Single Contacts Ringtone:
- Open Contacts and tap the desired contact
- Tap Edit (icon shaped like a pencil)
- Tap Ringtone and select the ringtone you want to use
- Tap OK > Save
Change the Notification Sound:
- Access the phones Settings menu
- Tap Sound
- Under Ringtones and Notifications, tap Notifications
- Select the desired audio file and tap OK
