    Using a Google Account:

NOTE: You can use your Google account to sync the contacts stored on the sender device, and then re-sync the data on the account with the Galaxy S6 Edge+.

    1. Launch the “Contacts” app on the Note 3 / S4
    2. If necessary, tap the “Contacts” tab
    3. Tap “Menu” > “Merge accounts” > “Merge with Google
    4. Tap “OK” to confirm
    5. If necessary, follow the on-screen prompts to sign in with your Google account
    6. Switch to the S6 Edge+ and if necessary, register the same Google account
    7. Set the account so that it can sync contacts with your device

    Using the Default “Contacts” App:

NOTE: Using the “Contacts” app on both smartphones you can export and import your contacts from one phone to the other.

    1. Launch “Contacts” on the Note 3 / S4
    2. Access the “Contacts” tab
    3. If necessary, tap “menu” > “Contacts to display” > “All contacts
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Import / Export
    5. Tap “Export to SD card” and make sure you remember the file name for future use before tapping “OK
    6. Open the email client and compose a new email with the exported file attached to it
    7. Send the email to your address
    8. Switch to the S6 Edge+ and open the email
    9. Download the attached file and use the “Import” option in the “Contacts” app to add the file’s contents to your phonebook

NOTE: After you create the vCard file on the Note 3 / S4, you can connect it and the S6 Edge+ to a computer and manually transfer it from one phone to the other. Then you can use the “Contacts” app as described above

    Using the “Smart Switch” App:

NOTE: Using the official Smart Switch app from Samsung you can transfer contacts and other types of files from an older Samsung to a newer one.

    1. Visit the Google Play Store and install Samsung’s “Smart Switch” mobile app on both your smartphones
    2. Open the app on both handsets
    3. Select “Android device” on both terminals
    4. On the Note 3 / S4, select “Sending device
    5. On the S6 Edge+, tap “Receiving device
    6. Tap “Connect” on the “Sending device
    7. Select “Contacts” and tap “Send
    8. Tap “OK” on the S6 Edge+ and wait for the process to complete

NOTE: In order for Smart Switch to work properly, keep both phones in close proximity of each other.

    Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is a third party application that can be used to transfer contacts from one phone to another via a P2P connection, without needing a computer.

    1. Visit the Google Play Store and install “Send Anywhere” on both smartphones
    2. Open the app on both devices
    3. On the sender device, tap “Send” > “Contacts
    4. Select the contacts you want to share and tap “Send”
    5. Lastly, select a transfer method. You can tap “Receive” on the S6 Edge+ and enter the code generated on the sender device, or trap “Generate QR Code” on the Note 3 / S4 and scan the code with the Edge+’s camera
