Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Establish a USB connection between the Galaxy On7 and computer
  2. Swipe the “Status” bar down and make sure the phone is connected as a “Media device (MTP)”
  3. Open an Explorer window on the computer and locate the media files on your PC
  4. Copy the files, and transfer them back on your phone, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” folders under the “Media” directory
  5. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB connector

Transfer Audio Files from a Mac Computer:

NOTE: If Samsung Kies is already installed on the computer, skip the first 3 steps.

  1. Open the Internet browser on your Mac
  2. Visit Kies Support
  3. Click “Kies 3 for Mac”, and install Kies on the computer
  4. Connect the Galaxy On7 to your Mac via USB
  5. Swipe the “Status” bar down and make sure “Media device (MTP)” is enabled
  6. Launch Kies on the Mac
  7. Inside Kies, click the “Folder” icon associated with “Internal memory” or “External memory”
  8. Open a file explorer window on the Mac, and locate the desired audio files on your computer
  9. Drag the files and drop them inside Kies
  10. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage by dragging the virtual drive into the “trash can / eject” icon
  11. Safely disconnect the phone from the USB connector

Add Audio Files to the Ringtone List:

NOTE: After transferring the audio files from a computer, you can add them to the ringtone list by performing the following:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Open “Settings”
  3. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sounds and notifications”
  4. Tap “Ringtones and sounds” under “Sound”
  5. Tap “Ringtone” > “Add ringtone”
  6. Complete the action using “Sound picker”
  7. Tap “Always” or “Just once”
  8. Select the desired audio files and tap “Done”

Change the Phone’s Ringtone:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sounds and notifications”
  4. Tap “Ringtones and sounds” under “Sound”
  5. Tap “Ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
  6. Tap “Back” to save the changes automatically

Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

  1. Open “Contacts”
  2. Select the desired contact
  3. Tap “Edit” (icon shaped like a pencil)
  4. Tap “Ringtone”
  5. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK”
  6. Tap “Save”

Change the Notification Sound:

  1. Open the apps drawer and go to “Settings”
  2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sounds and notifications”
  3. Tap “Ringtones and sounds” under “Sound”
  4. Select the desired notification sound
  5. Tap “back” to save the changes
