Use iTunes to Sync iPhone Contacts with a Google Account:

NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with access to the Internet to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then, you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Samsung Galaxy Amp Prime.

  1. Launch iTunes on the PC
  2. Connect the iPhone to your PC using the Lightning cable
  3. Click the iPhone in iTunes, and access the “Info” tab
  4. Turn on “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account, or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. Once the sync is done, switch to the Galaxy Amp Prime, sign in with the same Google account if necessary, and allow the account to sync contacts with your device

Share Contacts from an iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have already been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in vCard format.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in with your iCloud account and access “Contacts
  4. Select the contacts you want to share and click “Settings
  5. Click “Export vCard” and wait for the vCard file to be downloaded on the computer
  6. After the file is downloaded, perform one of the two steps below:
    • Import the vCard via “Google Contacts”, or:
    • Connect the Galaxy Amp Prime to your PC via USB, make sure the phone is connected as a Media device (MTP), transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it via “Contacts

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: Although the methods above require access to a computer with an active Internet connection, alternatively you can share your contacts via third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and transfer iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Open the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Launch the application
  3. Tap “Backup” to create a vCard backup file containing your contacts
  4. Once done, tap “Email
  5. Compose a new email and make sure the vCard is attached
  6. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  7. On the Galaxy Amp Prime, open the email, download the vCard attachment, and use “Contacts” to import it

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app (for Android and iOS) which can be used to share your iPhone contacts through a peer-to-peer connection without requiring a computer.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Install the same app on the Galaxy Amp Prime from the Google Play Store
  3. Open the application on both handsets
  4. Tap “Send” on the iPhone
  5. Tap “Contacts” and select the desired contacts to share
  6. Lastly, tap “Send” and choose a transfer method. Example: you can tap “Receive” on the Samsung device and enter the transfer code generated on the iPhone, or tap “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone and scan the code with the Amp Prime’s camera to start the transfer
