Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the Samsung Galaxy Amp 2 to your computer via USB
- At the prompt, enable Media device (MTP) / File Transfer (MTP), otherwise enable the feature from the notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the audio files on the PC storage and copy the ones you wish to use on your phone
- Transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the Ringtones / Notifications directories under Media
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray
- You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Transfer Audio Files from a Mac Computer:
NOTE: If Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac, skip the first 3 steps:
- Open the Internet browser on the Mac
- Visit Kies Support
- Click Kies 3 for Mac and follow the on-screen prompts to install the app on the Mac
- Connect the Galaxy Amp 2 to your Mac via USB
- At the prompt, enable Media device (MTP) / File Transfer (MTP), or enable the options from the status area
- Launch Kies on the Mac
- Click the Folder icon associated with External memory or Internal memory
- Open the File Finder on the Mac and locate the desired audio files on the computer
- Drag and drop the files in Kies
- After the transfer is complete, drag the phones virtual drive from the desktop and drop it in the trash can to eject it
- You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Add Audio Files to Ringtones:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Open Settings
- Under Device, tap Sounds & notifications
- Scroll to Sound and tap Ringtones and sounds
- Tap Ringtone > Add ringtone
- Choose Sound picker and select to use the app Just once or Always
- Select the desired audio files and tap Done
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open Settings and scroll to Device
- Tap Sounds & notifications
- Scroll to Sound
- Tap Ringtones & sounds
- Tap Ringtone and select the desired ringtone
- Press Back to save the changes
Change the Contacts Ringtone:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set to contacts stored on the phones internal memory or the SIM card.
- Open Contacts
- Select the desired contact and tap Edit
- Tap Ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK
- Tap Save to confirm
Change the Notification Sound:
- Open Settings
- Scroll to Device and tap Sounds & notifications
- Tap Ringtones & Sounds
- Select a notification type and select the desired notification sound
- Press Back to apply the changes
