Enable Battery Saving Mode:
- Open the “Apps” drawer
- Launch “Settings” and scroll to “System”
- Tap “Battery” and tap the switch to enable “Power saving mode”
- Select a battery percentage at which the mode should enable automatically
Turn On Ultra Power Saving Mode:
- Open “Settings”
- Scroll to “System” and tap “Battery”
- Tap the switch next to “Ultra power saving mode” to enable the feature
- Tap “Agree” to confirm
- Once the mode is enabled, you can tap “+” to add more apps to the Ultra power saving mode home screen
Disable Unused Connectivity Features:
NOTE: By disabling Wi-Fi, GPS, Hotspot, and Bluetooth when unused, you can improve battery life in the long run.
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Open “Settings”
- Scroll to “Connections” and tap the switches associated with the connectivity options you want to disable
Use 2G Networks:
NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can improve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.
- Open “Settings”
- Scroll to “Connections”
- Tap “More connection settings” > “Mobile networks”
- Tap “Network mode”
- Select “GSM Only”
Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:
- Launch “Settings”
- Scroll to “Device”
- Tap “Display” and, if necessary, turn off “Automatic brightness”
- Drag the brightness slider towards the left to decrease luminosity
- Tap “Screen timeout”
- Select a lower timeout value, such as “15 seconds”

- Open “Settings”

- Tap “Accounts”
- Select the desired account type and an account
- Clear the check boxes associated with the sync options you want to disable
- When ready, tap “Menu” > “Sync now”
Minimize Third Party App Usage:
NOTE: Certain third party apps can affect battery life even when they are not actively in use, due to the fact that some apps perform regular background processes. By disabling or removing unused third party apps, you might improve battery life in the long run.
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Launch “Settings”
- Scroll to “Device”
- Tap “Applications” > “Application manager”
- Swipe to “Downloaded”
- Select the desired app and tap “Disable” / “Turn off”
- To remove an app, tap “Uninstall” two times instead
