Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the Galaxy On5 Pro to your computer via USB
  2. When prompted, turn on “Media device (MTP)” or “File Transfer (MTP)”, otherwise enable the option from the “Notification” area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the desired audio files on the computer and copy them
  5. Paste the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Notification” / “Ringtones” folder(s)
  6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray, and safely disconnect the device from the USB

Transfer Audio Files from a Mac Computer:

NOTE: Skip the first 3 steps if Samsung Kies is installed on the Mac.

  1. Open the Internet browser on your Mac
  2. Visit Kies Support and click “Kies 3 for Mac”
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install Kies on the Mac
  4. Connect the Samsung device to your Mac via USB
  5. At the prompt, enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)”, otherwise enable the option from the “Notification” area
  6. Open Kies on the Mac and click the “Folder” icon associated with “Internal memory” or “External memory”
  7. Launch the File Finder on the Mac and locate the desired audio files
  8. Drag the files and drop them inside Kies to begin the transfer
  9. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage by dragging its virtual drive from the desktop, and dropping it into the “Trash can”
  10. You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

Add Audio Files to the Ringtone List:

  1. Launch “Settings” and scroll to “Device”
  2. Tap “Sounds and notifications”
  3. Tap “Ringtones and sounds”
  4. Tap “Ringtone” > “Add ringtone”
  5. Select “Sound picker”
  6. Choose “Always” or “Just once” and select the audio files you want to add
  7. Tap “Done”

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sounds & notifications”
  3. Tap “Ringtones & sounds” under “Sound”
  4. Tap “Ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
  5. Press “Back” to apply the changes

Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned for contacts stored on the SIM card or the device’s internal memory.

  1. Launch “Contacts”
  2. Select the desired contact
  3. Tap “Edit” > “Ringtone”
  4. Select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “OK” > “Save”

Change the Notification Sound:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sounds & notifications”
  3. Under “Sounds”, tap “Ringtones and sound”
  4. Select a notification type and a notification to use
  5. Press “Back” to apply the changes
