Restore Contacts from a Google Account:

  1. Sign in with the Google account used for the initial backup
  2. Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu
  3. Under “User and Backup”, tap “Accounts
  4. Choose “Google” and tap your “email address” or “user name” at the top
  5. Make sure “Contacts” is checked
  6. Tap “Menu” > “Sync now

Restore Contacts from Storage / SD Card:

  1. Ensure the microSD card containing your backups is fitted on the phone
  2. Open the apps drawer
  3. Launch “Settings
  4. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Applications
  5. Access “Contacts
  6. Select “Import” and choose “SD Card” or “Storage
  7. Select to import multiple vCards or a single vCard file
  8. Select to restore the vCard on “Device storage” or to sync its contents with your “Google” account

Restore Media Files from an SD Card:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Launch “My Files
  3. Under “Local storage”, tap “SD Card
  4. Tap “More” > “Edit
  5. Tick the boxes associated with the media files you want to restore
  6. Tap “More” > “Move
  7. Choose “Device storage
  8. Tap “Create folder” or navigate to a different location
  9. Tap “Move here” to restore the selected files

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Samsung device to your computer via USB
  2. Turn on “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the media file backups on the PC storage and copy them
  5. Transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder or the directory they originate from
  6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

Restore Media Files from a Mac Computer:

  1. Connect the Samsung Galaxy On Nxt to your computer via USB
  2. Turn on “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch Kies on the Mac and click the “Back up / restore” tab
  4. Access the “Restore” tab and tick the boxes associated with the media file types you want to restore (Optionally tap “Select all”)
  5. Click “Restore” and follow any on-screen prompts that may appear
  6. Once the restore is complete, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and drop it into the “trash can” to eject it
