My friend owns the Glyde, and she seems to be very happy with it, easy to text with also. If you like its features i suggest you buy it then.

I played with one in the store, and really liked the slider. It felt really solid opening and closing.

I find it interesting that they call a 2.81 screen "brilliant" (Voyager) & this one on the glide "a bit cramped" at 2.75...I did not know .06" was that noticeable.

but is it an Iphone?

It's not the iPhone, that's for sure. But the iPhone, while a good product, is a bit (*) overrated. It's limited where it ought not be.

And this is cheaper.

And you don't have to switch to a crappy ATT or jailbroken one on TMobile service, which are indubitably worse than the CDMA run by Verizon and Sprint.

I really wanted a iPhone myself, but we have too many family and friends that are on Verizon, so not worth it to give up all that free phone to phone calling.

In a few years when AT&T & Apple's contract together is up, I can see Apple moving over to Verizon as well. The network is better.

This is a good phone for making phone calls and texting people. In my opinion the Web is useless on most Verizon phones due to the poor interface, and the browser itself.
