Same phone, x426, same version, 1.6, and I can't seem to get it unlocked. Has anyone been successful in unlocking it?

The unlock code only work with certain levels of firmware (1.5 and before). Press *#9999# on your phone - if the firmware is greater than 1.5 you need a cable and software to unlock. Otherwise you can use an unlock code.

    How I unlocked X426 Phone - Rev. 1.6

    1. Enter #0111*00000000# in the idle screen and press send.
    2. If your phone states “Personalization Cancelled” Your X426 in know unlocked. That’s was all I did.

    3. If your phone states “Phone is locked, Please Service” you must enter: *2767*STACKRESET#
Into the idle screen and allow to full reboot your phone.
When the phone has returned to normal from STACKRESET, re-enter the unlock code *0111*00000000*
Your phone should be unlocked. Try another sim card.

I tried #0111*00000000# to my X426 as well, my phone is now completely locked (only SOS call is allowed). Called Samsung, they said the pone must be sent for repairing.

If you know a solution to unlock the phone, please help.

If you are thinking to try this code to X426, please don't do it.

    Hi there,

I may be able to help you. If you are still having problems, email me at [email protected] and I will send you a detailed message which will solve your problem completely, God willing

The code works for the X426 Firmware 1.7 but its quirky in the sense that you must not have resent anything before applying it. In other words if you applied it to a factory new phone on which you have not applied any samsung reset codes successfully, it works kike a charm.

But if you applied another code that resets its eeprom or some other major memory area then you need to do something else.

So please let me know and I will tell you and hopefully it will work. I say that because the same thing happened to me as well a few days ago and I was able to get past it.

    Good luck.

    Harry

PS. I tried to send you an email but it wouldn't allow me. I guess you have it blocked

ooops...I mean to say the code works on the X426 version 1.6 and perhaps on 1.7 as well (I think 1.6 if dor AT&T and 1.7 for the Cingular version of X426, both versions being the same in effect)

Any questions, please email me. or write here. I will periodically look up here and answer.
