    Hello,

I am a newbie at the cell phones and I am trying to find the ringtones from The Phantom of the Opera or Sarah Brightman. I 've gone to other websites and some say for differnet phones, but I don't know if I can use them on my phone , it's a Samsung sch a650. I don't know that much about the phone or what i can't and can download. all I know is that you get charged for everything you do unless i do it after 9pm. My carrier is Verzion, will not go anywhere else because they take good care of me.

anyway let me know what i can do and can't do. I know how to download pictures, what games are the best. Is there any way I could down a mp3 ?

    Thanks...

If you do find a MIDI you want.. ( a ringtone filetype)... Right click it and save target as

once it is saved to your computer go to pixplace at
    http://www.vzwpix.com/mlib/index.jsp

-- go to CREATE A MESSAGE
    -- click on FROM PC
    -- ADD AUDIO
-- browse, find your saved ringtone
    -- ADD IT

you can send about 9 ringtones to yourself in one message

once the messages gets to your phone open it up, and 6 sec clips of each ringtone will play.

while it is playing click OPTION
then 5 and scroll to the right
to choose SAVE SOUND and name it.
repeat again for each other ringtone that you sent to yourself.

I think I might have some Phantom of The Oprah tones but Im not for sure .. I just named it Phantom and put it under a Classical category on my website (not done!)

    Hope this helps

    Tried It

I tried to do what you said Spngbob, but the ringtones did not play when I read the message. All it said was to visit a website to see my pictures. Did I do something wrong?

Re: Help with ringtones from : The Phantom of the Opera

    Hello again,

I've done the options but not a thing happens. The message is just saved, can't view anything on my phone. I can't even find out how to get in from verizon onto my phone. When I get to the option part is states forward delete, save text, etc. It doesn't tell me how to save anything at all. All I can tell you is that when I go into vierzon's website for this it shows whats in my inbox, but it's not in my cell phone. I've found midis on line, good ones and I hope I can get these on my cell.

    Let me know.

    Thanks

    Phantom Girl.

Yup same thing I got, I'm not getting any luck, all it says for me to do is go to the website and doesn't even tell me how to save the song to my cell.

I think it's because the Samsung SCH-A650 does not have picture messaging. I also do not have the web on my phone (at least I'm not signed up for a monthly plan, but can I use it per minute or no?) If not, that pretty much leaves USB data cable and software or text messages. I haven't found a site yet that sends text messages to this phone with Verizon (I was hoping to find a free one.) And I didn't really want to spend $50 (around that for the software and cable at RadioShack). If anyone can help us out, it would be greatly apprieciated!

    HELLO,
I'VE HAD THE A650 PHONE FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND I FOUND ON ANOTHER FORUM - WWW.HOWARDFORUM.COM - THAT IT HAS A LOT MORE INFO THAN THIS FORUM. AS A MATTER A FACT THIS THREAD
http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...hlight=%2Ba650 HAS A LOT OF INFO.
ALSO THE ONLY WAY TO GET RINGTONES AND WALLPAPER ON TO YOUR PHONE, WITHOUT USING *GET IT NOW*, IS TO USE A DATA CABLE. I GOT MINE FROM THIS LINK. http://www.cellphonemall.net/wireles...56&phoneid=438
THIS LINK ALSO HAS THE DRIVERS NEEDED TO USE THE CABLE.
IN HOWARDFORUM GO TO THE TOP OF THE PAGE A CLICK SEARCH. THEN TYPE A650 IN THE FEILD AND HIT SEARCH. IT WILL BRING UP EVERYTHING RELATED TO THE A650 PHONE.
ALOT OF PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM WILL HAVE RINGTONES THAT YOU DOWNLOAD TO YOUR COMPUTER AND THEN TO YOUR PHONE.

    GOOD LUCK

Did you have to pay shipping and handling for the cord? Also, that download, is it the software you need to put the ringtones and wallpapers on your phone? Or would I have to buy that? I saw it for around $35 at Radio Shack and was hoping it could be found cheaper. Thanks for that other forum. Very helpful.

THE DOWNLOAD THAT IS WITH THE DATA CABLE IS THE DRIVERS FOR THE CABLE ITSELF. PROGRAMS THAT ARE AVAILABLE (WHICH ARE FREE) ARE *BITPIM* AND *GAGIN*. NOW THESE ARE PROGRAMS THAT LET YOU PUT RINGTONES AND WALLPAPER ON TO YOUR PHONE. I HAVE NOT FOUND A FREE PROGRAM THAT WOULD MAKE AND OR CONVERT THE RINGTONE FOR THE PHONE.
NOW I HAVE ONLY HAD THIS PHONE FOR ABOUT A MONTH. PLEASE READ ALL 7 PAGES OF THAT FORUM LISTED ABOVE. IT WILL GIVE ALOT MORE INFO THAN I CAN.
ALSO, THERE WAS A FREIGHT CHARGE FOR THE CABLE. IT WAS SENT U.S. MAIL.
