ok so here is what a weeks worth of digging and asking questions has gotten me...the cable with the USB port is my best bet to get it working...the unlock software can be downloaded from samsung.com...be careful what cable you get because there are 2 different models. you also dont want the one that is not usb it has a different connection and is missing the data transfer software that allows you to unlock your phone...the next option is sending it off to someone who can fix it for you....this cost you about 20-30 dollars but at least you know it will work...i found one place that will refund your money in the case that they cant fix your phone..this may be one option im going to attempt...ill post when and if i send it off...but ill keep looking
