Guys … please bear with me here…. I am brand new on this stuff & don't want to screw up these phones. This situation has probably been answered before but I have searched & have not been able to find this same set of circumstances.
I am from Canada & have purchased 2 brand new X426 “AT&T wireless” with rev 1.5 from the states.
I have called my provider “Rogers AT&T” in Canada & gave them the IMEI # to see if the phone could be used and they told me the phone was locked.
I don’t have any sim cards on hand right now & didn’t want to purchase one until I was sure I could use the phones.
Everything I read tells me to insert this card…. Then do this…this.... &.... then this. then insert this card… etc etc, etc.
Is there anything I can do at this point without sim cards to get this phone OK’d for use on the Canadian network before I purchase a sim card.
