samsung data cable software

I just bought a data cable for my samsung A-620 or VGA1000. It is compatible with other models also. Anyway I have it now and i plugged it in and now I need software because my computer recognizes it but there is no software to use the cable. I've all over these forums and couldn't find any software. Could someone tell me where I could download this software? I would appreciate it. By the way I would really like to be able to put my pictures on my computer if anyone could help me there.
