how to add banner to samsung SGH E317 ?

i have no idea where this functionality is

all i want to do is be able to write my name on the lcd of the interior of the phone so that if someone finds it they know its mine. anyone know how? all i can do is turn it on/off as to whether i want it to say cingular and time

thats not very nice, you just have to have PATIENCE

the samsung phone doesnt let you have a banner like some nokias do, well at least you cant do it straight from the phone, you would have to get an operator logo to replace the banner that regularly is on your phone, i dont remember how to do this but i do know its a bit complicated, but if you can find a site that lets you put op logos on your phone it will replace the "cingular" thats usually on your phone (or whatever it usually says there)

Well you can always load a custom wallpaper with your details...
