    does anybody know how to unlock this? i have the cable, cant find anything to unlock it tho. Also, ATT/Cingular wont provide the unlock code and i tried askin t-mobile (since im a customer of theirs) and they cant give it to me either since its not their phone. So im resorting to the community and askin if any has the same prob, or if anyone managed to get this phone unlocked and how they did it,

    Who ever sold you the phone should give you the unlock code. If that's not doable then go to the manufacture [I doubt that will help], then it's ebay where you can buy the unlock code for about $10. DON'T SEND YOUR PHONE ANYWHERE TO HAVE IT UNLOCKED. You can also try a dealer, they have or can get the unlock codes.

    well, the provider, ATT wouldn't give it, and cingular is a joke when it comes to unlock codes, the manufacturers dont give out unlock codes, and the cable i have, its just that the software for the e316 model is expensive and i can barely find anyone with it, its just a hassle, but it doesnt matter anymore, i just sold it to someone with att as i got my new motorola a630, so, ANYWAY........
