Samsung A620 turn off security mode?

Hi I'm to the forums and had a small questions. I've recently got a Samsung SPH-A620 and when I turn on the phone it's locked. No matter how many combinations of numbers I try it still stays locked. I've tried what I thought was the previous number of the phone, and I've tried the classic 1234, 0000, and such and still no luck. If anyone has any ideas for me I'd be really greatful.

default code is 12345 or put non working sim card in the phone so you can get access to security and shut the security off. this is what i do to my nokia that i buy to ebay.

Try last 4 digits of SSN of the account holder.

If that doesn't work, call the carrier back and ask for the unlock code. The sales rep should have provided it to you when you bought the phone. Phones are shipped in a locked state to discourage thieves from intercepting them in shipment and running up a big bill in your name.
