how can i create mp3 ringtones???

sup y'all. i'm just wondering how can i create mp3 ringtones of my own AND send them to my phone (samsung e715) for free?

there are several programs out there but i can't get them to work, especially when t-zones is required and i don't have a subscription. - and i am not planning to get one.

any ideas? tnx in advance.

I don't think you can email your phone for free. I have a Samsung SGH-E317, purchased at Cingular, and I know it costs .25 to send an email. I'm not sure if T-Mobile has the same cost.
