I'm in the same boat as you man, I have a Telus SCH-a650, and I am unable to do anything with it either. Bitpim won't retrieve the filesystem, all I can do with the data cable that I got from fleabay is charge the battery, and use the phone as a dialup modem for the 'puter. After searching high and low for answers, and even talking to a few Telus types on the picket lines, near as I can tell, Telus has disabled all file access functions in the firmware. So far, I haven't been able to figure out a way to enable it again. I can get the phone into phonebook mode via Hyperterminal by issuing the AT#pmode=1 command, but beyond that, not much. Here is a text file I found that I am currently experimenting with to try and figure this out, as any of the pro's around here seem unwilling/unable to impart any really useful information on how to proceed. Maybe you can figure out something? If so, please enlighten me.....
