Silence the Message Alert on a A670???

How do I silence the text and voice mail message alerts on the Samsung A670? I am able to silence the ring tone, however, no matter what the setting the phone still beeps when their is an message or text in the inbox. Thanks in advance.

You can put it in silent mode. Just hold down the # button until you get the silent mode message. Hold it down agian to disable silent mode.

This will silence all sounds but the camera shutter sound. That one can't be disabled.
