    what software/drivers do I need to make a virtual com port that accesses my usb port? I recently got a cheapass usb sync cable and downloaded PClink and need a way to trick my pc into connecting to it like it's a COM port.

    I guess you have a cdma phone. You can try FutureDial or DataPilot. Their driver may work.
