I have a samsung SGH-315 and a samsung PCB093LBE data link cable. My computer cant read it when i have the cable hooked up 2 my computer. its not a usb cable and a was woundering how do i fix this? is there a driver a must download for it to work?
Plz Help me i really need to get this fixed Thank you

1st of all, did you place the switch on the cable to Data position? Are you using PC Studio PIMS software from Samsung? If yes, did you setup PIMS so that it use the same serial port as the cable is connected to your PC? By the way, you don't need a driver for serial cable, it is only needed for usb cable.

thanks just one more thing i just downloaded some ringtones on my desktop how do i get them on to me cell phone from there?

Make sure the ringtone is in mmf format and <40K in size. Assuming your cable and PC Studio are working. Open PC Studio PIMS and click on File Manager icon. When a new window opens, expand My Phone by clicking on the + sign and you will see folders call My Sound (or Music), click on My Sound folder to open the folder. On the bottom half of the window, it is more like a file explorer, open the path for the desktop and select the ringtone you want to upload to the phone. The upload icon will then be highlighted. Click the upload icon and the ringtone will be transferred to the phone. Enjoy!
