problem with... yes, of course, the a660

a660 on com2 my provider is aliant(basicly bell i think)

would be happy to try the instructions on this page http://home.comcast.net/~jna03/a660/
only one problem.
i get various errors when i try to 'get data' in bitpim
most recent: sch-a650 on com2: the phone is not responding while transitioning mode from none to phonebook.

this is what log comes up with:
0:03:41.019 com2: Open of comm port suceeded
0:03:41.019 SCH-A650: Switching to modem
0:03:44.039 SCH-A650: trying to switch from BREW mode
0:03:44.039 SCH-A650: Switching from BREW to modem
0:03:50.019 Error: Device needs attention - SCH-A650 on com2
SCH-A650 on com2: The phone is not responding while transitioning mode from none to phonebook.

Check device manager and make sure the cable is assigned to COM2. It is a bit weird to me that COM2 is used. Usually it should be 3 or higher.

yea i went into device manager and it said something along the lines of 'this device is attached to com2'

I got this data cable off ebay for my friend's phone. I'm happy it only costed 15$ canadian now.

I'm happy i got a nokia, so much easier.
