I have a samsung a660 and have just recently found that the screen has an orange streak that doesnt go away from screen to screen or after restarting. I dont think the pixels are dead because part of the orange streak is dissapearing but growing further across my screen. I have heard of this but not an answer to fixing. I heard about some codes you could type in and if that would work what are they. Please help

That would be wrong, Treo's do it all the time.

    It's Hardware, not Software.

I dont want to pay 50 to replace it because I am getting the A900 but I want to send it in for the buyback program to receive 50 dollars. If it was possibly a software issue how could i fix it? reload the software or how would I do that?

That happened to me also. It grew like a virus and I eventually had to toss it out.

I've never seen a software reload or any software fix the orange problem.

As a warranty exchange agent for Cingular I have never seen any software reset fix the orange display. Same goes for the blue or purple display.
