I am thinking about getting this phone and the camera is pretty important. What are some other phones around that price range if any that have a better camera., I am on Sprint.

See More: How's the camera on the mm-a880?

Okay I did a little research into your question, and the phone I fell in love with is the Sanyo MM-9000. The camera is about the same quality, not better, and the other features are kind of a toss-up. I was actually going to buy the mm9000 until i realized it doesn't have AMPS for analog roaming, which is only important to me because I travel through rural parts of Georgia where analog is all i can get.

Several people have told me Sanyo phones get superior reception compared to other Sprint phones, but that's hearsay not proven fact. I'd encourage you to compare them side-by-side at phonescoop and that should help you decide for yourself which one you'd prefer.

    hope this helps

EDIT: after comparing these two a little closer, I'd probably still go with the MM-9000 unless AMPS is important to you. the Sanyo has expandable memory as well as 18mb internal memory, also it has some cool features the sammy is lacking like that neato call-screening feature, push-to-talk which should be compatible with nextels sometime next year, music player, ev-do, ringer id.

Don't take my word for it, compare them yourself and decide which features are important to you. good luck in your decision, and whichever one you choose please let me know what you think of it once you get it .

(even us mods are limited to 10 minutes on editing our posts, unless we have mod privilege in the forum we are posting in LOL)

which is why i should QUICKLY add in that sprint won't sell you the MM-9000 and you have to buy it directly from sanyo.com
