When writing an sms with the D600 using the T9 predictive text, does the first letter of the next sentence automatically change to a capital letter once a sentence has been ended with a full stop, or do you have to press a button to make the new sentence start with a capital letter?

    Also....

Can you make T9 the default format for texting?

    Thanks

I haven't figured out how to make T9 the default, although it seems to have made itself the default on my text messages while practically everything else defaults to abc mode. Also, I'm not only talking about my LG but also my partner's Samsung A-840. They both seem to be in the same boat here, text messaging defaulted to T9 and everything else defaults to abc. If this is some setting we accidentally stumbled across, I'm afraid I can't remember to tell you what we did to make it that way.

As for your other question, when you are in T9 mode, press your * (star) key to "shift" the text. One press will shift you to all caps, another press will shift you to first letter of each sentence in caps, and another press of that * button will shift you to all lowercase letters.

I hope this answers your question.

Anyone else know how to make the phone default on T9 all the time?

I just went to Samsung's website and browsed your user manual. I'm not sure if this will do the trick or not, but it said holding down the * key will switch modes between T9, abc, and symbol modes. On the Samsung I am looking at in front of me, the modes are changed with one of the softkeys just below the screen. So, if you normally change modes with a softkey, try to change modes using this alternate method and see if it stays that way.

That's just a guess, maybe it will do the trick.

Also, here is the link to your user manual (english version) in PDF format

Perhaps browsing the manual with adobe's search will help you find an answer. I find it much easier to browse my manual using keywords and the PDF format, rather than sitting down with the book and thumbing through page after page. Good luck, let me know if my advice helps either way
